Who decides how much bail is needed for a defendant?

Bail Concierge San Diego Bail Bonds FAQ

California State Law requires that seated judges in each county convene on an annual basis to review the bail schedule and make changes they feel are appropriate to their community. Judges set bail based initially on a “bail schedule,” but they can raise or lower the amount, based on the circumstances of the case. Defendants do not need a lawyer to arrange for bail. They can either post cash bail personally, or phone a bail bondsman and arrange for a bond. Relatives or friends can come to a jail or court and post cash bail for an arrested person or purchase a bond from a bail bondsman.

Bail Concierge does not give out legal advice. For more information about your case, please consult your attorney or a legal professional.
